General Description (Job Summary) : The Front Desk is responsible for front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and assisting with sliding fee program. Ensures efficient patient flow and excellent customer service. Education, Training and Experience (Qualifications) :- High School Diploma required
- Medical office experience required
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and computer skills required

- Excellent customer service and patient relations skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems and basic computer applications
- Appointment scheduling and calendar management skills
- Insurance verification and payment processing accuracy
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Working Conditions and Other Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequent use of computer systems, phones, and office equipment
- Continuous interaction with patients, staff, and the public
- Ability to manage a fast-paced front desk environment with frequent interruptions
- Exposure to confidential information requiring strict adherence to HIPAA regulations
Position Responsibilities:
- Check in and check out patients accurately
- Verify and update insurance information
- Schedule and maintain full patient schedule
- Assist patients with Sliding Fee Discount Program
- Collect payments and co-pays
- Answer phones and triage calls to staff
- Scan and upload documents to EHR
- Always maintain professional customer service
- Enter annual recalls and/or schedule appointments for return visits as indicated by the provider
- Perform necessary tasks for any audit
- Assist with the completion of claim forms, leave of absence forms, return to school or work forms, etc.
- Perform other duties within capabilities as assigned by supervisor or executive staff
- Adhere to all personnel policies in the conduct of personal and employment maters
