Job Description
Our growing retina specialty practice is seeking a reliable, personable, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team part-time beginning in June. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients and stays organized in a fast-paced medical office. Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and/or out professionally and efficiently Input and update patient demographics and insurance information accurately Verify insurance eligibility and assist with coverage-related questions Answer incoming phone calls and direct messages appropriately Schedule appointments and manage physician schedules Collect co-pays and maintain accurate patient records Maintain smooth patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical staff Assist with general administrative and front desk duties as needed Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of medical receptionist experience required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office environment Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Retina or general ophthalmology experience is a plus, but not required What We Offer Team environment Positive work-life balance Paid Time Off (PTO)
