Shift:
First Shift (United States of America) Medical ReceptionistLauritzen Outpatient Center Schedule:
Full-Time, 40 hr/wk MondayFriday:
7:30 AM- 4:00 PM Training for the first 3 weeks: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM
- 3:30 PM Training is required and must be completed before transitioning to the regular schedule

- Key Responsibilities
- In-Person role; not a remote position
- Face-to-face patient and public contact required
- Cross-training and floating to other desks are required Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as the first impression of the organization
- Strong customer service skills required
- Escorting and wayfinding for patients Registration & Patient Intake
- Obtain patient demographic and insurance information
- Enter data into the electronic health record (EHR)
- Pre-register patients over the phone
- Collect point-of-service payments
- Obtain required regulatory forms Area-Specific Duties

Medical Receptionist Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others, (in person, at the check-in desk, or via the telephone). Responsible for answering incoming calls in a professional manner, and/or checking in / out patients per established protocols. Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and registering patients.Required Qualifications:
Medical Receptionist- Minimum of 16 years of age required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal/external customers required.
- Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a timely, confidential manner required.
- Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills required.
- Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Receptionist- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- One year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling related capacity (one year of education equals one year of experience) preferred.
- Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel preferred.
- Depending on the position available, fluency in Spanish preferred.
