The Role This is a unique dual-role position that combines medical billing and coding with office management . You'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate revenue cycle management while overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice. Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Billing & Coding Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance carriers. Assign and verify ICD-10 and CPT codes for services rendered. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding insurance claims. Investigate and resolve denied or rejected claims promptly. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. Post insurance and patient payments accurately. Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and healthcare billing regulations. Work collaboratively with providers to maintain accurate documentation and coding. Office Management Oversee daily front-office operations to ensure efficient workflow. Pay rent, office bills, etc Maintain office inventory and order administrative supplies. Assist with patient relations by addressing questions and resolving concerns professionally. Develop and improve administrative procedures to enhance office efficiency. Coordinate vendor relationships and support practice operations. Help maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality standards. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing within a physician practice or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding . Experience with claims submission, accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, and denial management. Previous experience managing or coordinating front-office operations in a medical practice. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical practice management software. ⁠ Experience using Epic EHR a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. ⁠Prior experience in a healthcare setting involving medical office operations is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification. Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing. Supervisory or office management experience in a healthcare setting. Compensation & Benefits $27-30 per hour , depending on experience. Paid Time Off (PTO), including holidays Health benefits.
