We are looking to bring on a Part Time Referral Specialist that will manage Medical Referrals for Dental, Vision, Behavioral Health, and other speciality providers for Patient Sortal Management Services, the MSO for Patient Sortal Health. You will be responsible for Referral operations, managing appointments, working alongside care management team members, patient intakes/enrollments, patient and staff meetings, and other non-clinical operations. As a Medical Referral Specialist, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, great communication skills, and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. Our position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical facility. Responsibilities Managing provider scheduling Patient Scheduling Patient Referrals Working alongside care management team members Liaise with doctors and nurses to identify potential referral and scheduling dysfunctions Provide informative material for patients Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards Skills Proven work experience as a Medical Referral Specialist for a healthcare practice Hungry to excel and learn within a growing organization Knowledge of scheduling and referrals Ability to handle medical records discreetly Knowledge of medical issues and terminology Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations Detail oriented and capably of thoroughly documenting all referral information in necessary data systems, including but not limited to the EHR. Communication skills and a customer service orientation AS or BS degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or relevant field
