On-site only (no remote flexibility) Join our dedicated Behavioral Health team at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Sanford as a Nursing Unit Secretary! In this vital role, you will provide administrative and clerical support to a multidisciplinary team caring for adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises. Our secure, 24/7 inpatient behavioral health unit serves patients ages 18-95 and focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care, stabilization, recovery, and successful transitions back to the community. As a Nursing Unit Secretary, you will help support the daily operations of the unit by coordinating communication, maintaining patient records, assisting with scheduling and documentation, and serving as an important resource for patients, families, and care team members. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside nurses, providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals who are committed to providing exceptional behavioral health services, including group therapy, art therapy, medication management, recreational activities, and discharge planning. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications:
Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
Experience:
One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.
