Job Description

FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST
Summary Handles day-to-day front office tasks, including phones, scheduling, and general office support. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Computer proficiency Basic knowledge of insurance, billing, and Medicare Experience in a medical office preferred Professional appearance and strong communication skills Positive, courteous, flexible, and detail-oriented Daily Responsibilities Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate department Schedule and reschedule patient appointments across all locations; send new patient questionnaires Collect co-pays and deductibles; post payments in Phreesia/ECW Enter and update patient information, including insurance and pharmacy details Review provider schedules 2 days ahead to catch any missing information Set up patient portal access and explain it to patients Balance daily charges and payments Check and route incoming faxes Additional Responsibilities Attach correspondence to patient records Send medical records upon request Attend mandatory staff meetings Assist with any other tasks requested by the team leader, administrator, or physician Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the medical field to be considered for position.
