Job Description

Minimum 1 Year experience as a Medical Office Receptionist Kudzu Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Medical Office Receptionist to fill an opening with a local medical clinic located in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidates should have great customer service experience and have experience in a medical office setting. Requirements of the Medical Office Receptionist
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge with verifying medical insurances
  • Typing and computer skills
  • Must be reliable

  • Medical / Dental / Vision Responsibilities of the Medical Office Receptionist
  • Count cash box, initial tape, and notify Supervisor immediately if there is a discrepancy
  • Greet patients
  • Update patient information in the computer which includes demographics in a timely manner
  • Scan insurance cards into the practice management(PM) system. If insurance is different or expired, task check-out DAILY
  • Collect co pays and account balances, post monies collected to unassigned and give patient a receipt. Keep money, copy of receipt, and print Daily Reconciliation sheet to give to the Supervisor the next day
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Scan patient demographics, HIPPA forms and other paper work completed by the patient into the EHR
  • Recall schedules are to be done in a timely manner. Task physicians or NPs ASAP for missing appointments.
  • Email Supervisor credit balance accounts, refiles, collection agencies and etc. (daily)
  • Other duties as delegated
