Our specialty healthcare practice is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this highly visible role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients, creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door or call the office. What You'll Do Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and exceptional customer service. Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information. Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using the practice management system. Maintain accurate scheduling records and update appointment changes daily. Explain financial responsibilities, collect co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance, and balance daily cash transactions. Communicate scheduling updates and patient concerns with physicians and clinical staff. Process incoming and outgoing mail and assist with other administrative duties. Provide front office support across multiple practice locations, including Lyerly, Glenwood, Ooltewah, and Cleveland, as needed. Work independently while contributing to a collaborative, patient-focused team. What We're Looking For 2+ years of medical front office/reception experience (required) At least 1 year of experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (required) Knowledge of medical insurance verification and patient registration processes. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting. Comfortable handling confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to handle patient scheduling and appointment coordination in a fast-paced environment. Experience performing patient check-in and general receptionist duties with accuracy and professionalism. Working knowledge of basic medical terminology used in a clinical or healthcare setting. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach. Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail throughout the workday. Comfort using standard office systems and front desk tools to complete daily administrative responsibilities.
