Your expertise in medical administrative support, electronic health records management, and patient service will help us deliver top-quality care while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system operation Schedule appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accurate documentation review and care plan coordination Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical billing, and perform medical collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health insurance knowledge Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accurate medical records management and electronic health records (EHR) entry Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information, verifying demographics, and managing clinic flow efficiently Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing office supplies to support smooth clinic operations Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate communication regarding CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare claims, and other billing processes Experience Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical skills and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Meditech Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and clinical confidentiality policies essential for compliance Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service through effective communication skills and compassionate demeanor Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior experience working in dental clinics or outpatient clinics is a plus but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong computer skills for documentation review and health information management Experience with medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical billing enhances your ability to support clinical documentation review and care plans Join us to be a key part of a dedicated healthcare team that values professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate patient care.
