Bilingual Front Office Receptionist Job description Position Overview We're looking for a Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our tight-knit clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, has strong clinical skills, and thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The day-to-day operations of a medical front office typically span three main areas: 1. Patient Reception & Communication Welcoming patients, visitors, and vendors with a professional and empathetic demeanor. Answering high-volume phone calls, routing messages, and responding to patient portal inquiries. Managing patient anxieties and de-escalating stressful situations in the waiting room. Assisting new patients with medical intake forms, consent to treat forms, and privacy policies. Provide translations in the exam rooms with the patients if needed. 2. Scheduling & Administration Optimizing provider schedules by booking, rescheduling, or confirming appointments. Checking in patients, scanning IDs/insurance cards, and ensuring the clinical staff is notified of arrivals. Maintaining office supplies, managing faxes, and handling incoming/outgoing mail. 3. Billing & Insurance Verifying patient health insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. Obtaining prior authorizations and referral approvals from third-party payers. Processing patient check-outs, calculating balances, and collecting co-payments or deductibles. Reconciling daily transactions and generating end-of-day financial reports.
