Medical Receptionist

Job Summary Knox Primary Care is seeking a reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in delivering a smooth and professional office experience. Responsibilities (not all-inclusive) Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out Answer phone calls and schedule appointments Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays Maintain accurate patient information in the Athenahealth (training provided) Handle incoming faxes, referrals, and records requests Assist with general front office workflow and organization Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization and verification procedures. Collect patient information accurately during intake, update electronic medical records and review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and handle filing of paper and electronic documents efficiently. Office cleaning and upkeep. Requirements Must be reliable and punctual. Comfortable using computers and spreadsheets...willingness to learn medical record system. Previous medical reception experience preferred but not required. Cleaning duties will entail 5 hours per week.

Pay:

$16.00 per hour
