Modern office setting Relaxed atmosphere Safe work environment Lively atmosphere We're looking for a multitasker who can help support our primary care practice. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for handling administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and reviewing insurance information, as well as handling some medical tasks, such as basic first aid and examining patients. Applicants must have excellent customer service skills and be highly motivated to help patients and the rest of the administrative staff with their needs.
Responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls to the billing and insurance office. Respond to questions, take information, and determine if the caller needs to be transferred or needs to speak with a specific individual. Screen and transfer calls to appropriate individuals or departments. Send mailings and complete other necessary paperwork on a regular basis. Update patient records as required. Prepare monthly statements for clinic services. Answer patient questions regarding medical practice policies (i.e., pharmacy, insurance, etc.). Help patients use online patient portal.
