Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this role, you will be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator for our patients and staff, ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while managing administrative tasks with precision. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a caring healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal patient flow Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing and collections with accuracy using systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries promptly Review documentation for accuracy, including medical histories, treatment plans, and insurance information Support clinical staff with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing medical records Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical or dental office setting Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, and health information management Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Join our team where your expertise will make a meaningful difference!
