Founded by Physical Therapists in 2000, GOPT now has 17 locations, allowing us to serve the people in our communities with compassionate and competent care. We have an immediate need for a full-time Medical Receptionist. The hourly pay rate is $14-$16 per hour, depending on experience. Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Grand Prairie, United States. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front office. This position requires someone who is organized, customer-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, providing exceptional customer service from arrival through departure Coordinate patient flow from initial check-in through treatment and checkout, ensuring a seamless experience Answer phones promptly and professionally, directing calls appropriately and managing patient inquiries with empathy and efficiency Manage electronic scheduling systems to optimize appointment availability and minimize wait times Perform accurate data entry and verify patient personal and financial information with meticulous attention to detail Maintain organized and secure patient charts and electronic medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect, post, and deposit patient payments while ensuring accurate financial record-keeping Handle faxing, filing, and other administrative duties as needed to support clinical and administrative teams Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively while maintaining composure Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support overall organizational goals and patient satisfaction Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of medical front office experience (preferred) Excellent telephone and customer service skills with strong interpersonal abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with medical software systems preferred Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with a positive and energetic attitude Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy healthcare environment Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism Availability and flexibility with work hours, including potential weekend or evening shifts Organized approach to managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously Commitment to maintaining a supportive and inclusive workplace environment Additional Information Green Oaks Physical Therapy values the well-being of our patients and our employees.
