Your expertise in medical administrative support, insurance verification, and electronic health record (EHR) systems will ensure smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and guiding them through check-in procedures. Manage appointment scheduling using the EHR eClinicalWorks. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks accurately to facilitate seamless billing processes. Collect and document patient information meticulously, including medical history updates and intake forms. Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and professionally. Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents correctly and updating electronic health records.. Assist with billing tasks such as medical collection processes. Support clinic operations by managing appointment reminders, rescheduling appointments, and coordinating care plans as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions. Perform general clerical duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies to keep the front desk organized and efficient. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or as a medical receptionist within a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms. Familiarity with insurance verification processes, Medicare procedures, HIPAA compliance, and medical billing/coding (ICD-10/CPT). Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding patient service; bilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key). Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and office management duties. Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, filing systems, and appointment schedules in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.
