Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth, ensuring optimal clinic flow Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and perform medical billing and collections accurately Maintain and update patient records while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality policies and health information management standards Review documentation for accuracy, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare requirements Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle patient inquiries promptly Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Experience Previous clinic or medical office experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and health insurance processes Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and Medicare procedures Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing) Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Experience managing medical records, documentation review, filing, and electronic health records management is highly valued Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dental care while fostering a positive environment for both patients and staff.
