Full Job Description Description:
Houston Metro Urology , the largest and most comprehensive urology practice in Houston, is seeking a Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will consistently deliver outstanding patient service, an essential part of HMU's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional, compassionate service to all patients. Coordinate patient flow within the clinic, including scheduling, confirming appointments, and managing check-in/check-out processes. Handle incoming phone calls, check and return messages promptly, and respond to inquiries in person, by phone, or via email in a courteous and efficient manner. Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and reception area. Manage and update patient information in Athena ( EMR system ) , ensuring accuracy and completeness. Ensure all required documentation from new patients is received prior to appointments and entered correctly into the system. Verify and update returning patients' information, including demographics, referring providers, pharmacy details, email addresses, and current insurance. Take patient photos for their medical records. Print daily appointment schedules and review fee slips and patient accounts for upcoming visits, including referral checks, overdue balances, lab results, and other required information. Provide support to other front office roles as needed.

Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
Medical terminology: 2 years (Required)
Microsoft Office:
2 years (Required) Medical receptionist: 2 years (Required)
Customer Service:
3 years (Required)
Language:
Spanish (Required)
