Medical Insurance Specialist/Front Desk Clerk

What You'll Do

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, answering calls, taking messages, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team member
• Check-in patients and collect demographic information for the patient management system (PMS)
• Verify insurance benefits accurately and collect payments at check-in and checkout based on benefits
• Maintain a welcoming, organized front desk, balancing multiple tasks with poise
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teammates to ensure smooth patient flow What We're Looking For
• Energetic, self-motivated, quick learner with a positive, friendly demeanor
• Ability to multitask in a busy medical office while staying calm and professional
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience with insurance verification and patient billing is a plus
• Two or more years of related experience preferred, but applicants with less experience who demonstrate strong potential will be considered
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule that includes open to close shifts and weekends on a rotating basis Work Schedule and Details
• Rotating shift pattern: 3-1-3 schedule (example pattern: Mon off Tue-Thu, Fri-Sun work, next Mon off, then Tue-Thu work, then Fri-Sun off)
• Open to close shifts as scheduled
• Every other weekend required
