The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient service while managing administrative tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. Duties Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations to optimize clinic flow. Perform insurance verification and ensure accurate patient information is collected. Assist with medical billing and coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring compliance with documentation standards. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and handling multi-line phone systems. Review patient intake forms. Utilize EMR system Communicate effectively with patients regarding their inquiries and provide excellent customer service at the front desk. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and follow-up on patient care needs. Support the administrative team with various office management tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and health information management is essential. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills are required (10 key typing experience is beneficial). Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are necessary for effective patient interaction. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of dental terminology and experience in a dental office may be advantageous but not required.
