A Day in the Life of a Referral Coordiantor You are someone who thirves on keeping complex processes moving, keeping the details in mind the entire way through. You genuinely care about the patient experience, keeping service alongside care. Serve as the primary contact between patients and primary care offices, coordinating referral intake, status updates, and follow-up communications throughout the care journey Process and accurately enter all incoming referrals into our EMR system Verify patient insurance coverage, confirm active eligibility and benefits prior to medical, surgical, and cosmetic appointments Clearly explain patient benefits, out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and co-insurance obligations — empowering patients to make informed financial decisions Track the status of open referrals and proactively follow up to prevent delays in patient care Determine appropriate CPT and ICD10 codes for dermatologic surgeries and procedures, ensuring proper documentation and prior authorization status Assist in scheduling surgical procedures and counseling of pre- and post-operative care and instructions Support our Patient Coordinator and Billing teams Other additional administrative or Billing tasks as needed.Experience Required:
At least 1-year of medical office experience (specifically, front office experience in collecting payments) At least 1-year of insurance experienceJob Type:
