Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this essential front-office role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing appointment scheduling, patient intake, and administrative support. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline daily operations, enhance patient experience, and uphold the highest standards of clinical confidentiality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Ascend, ensuring optimal clinic flow. Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance authorizations, and handle billing inquiries. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient questions and directing calls appropriately. Maintain precise medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist with dental/medical coding Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix to ensure seamless documentation review and health information management. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, or Dentrix Ascend. Familiarity with dental coding standards including CDT for accurate documentation review and billing support.
