FULL TIME Position Overview:
The Front Desk is the first point of contact for patients at the clinic, responsible for ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. This role involves managing patient check-in/check-out, answering phone calls, handling voicemails, posting payments, and supporting the clinic's administrative needs. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and capable of handling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Check-In and Check-Out Greet and assist patients as they enter and exit the clinic, providing friendly and efficient service. Verify patient information, insurance details, and ensure that all necessary forms and documentation are completed accurately. Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with any required instructions for upcoming visits or procedures. Phone and Voicemail Management Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and routing calls to the appropriate department or staff member. Check and respond to voicemails, ensuring timely follow-up on all patient messages and requests. Payment Processing and Financial Records Process patient payments at check-out, including copays, balances, and any additional charges. Accurately post payments to the appropriate patient accounts and provide receipts as needed. Assist in reconciling daily payment logs and preparing cash deposits in accordance with clinic procedures. Administrative and Office Support Manage patient records and ensure all documentation is accurately filed and HIPAA compliant. Maintain the reception area in a neat and organized manner to create a welcoming environment. Monitor office supplies for the front desk and request replenishment as needed. Additional Duties Support the clinic staff and management by performing any other tasks or special projects as assigned to meet the needs of the clinic and company operations.
Qualifications:
Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Preferred Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting. Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.

From $17.00 per hour
