Medical Receptionist Coastal Children's Clinic - 3.3 Portland, TX Job Details Full-time $11.50 - $12.25 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Clinical confidentiality policies Full Job Description Job summary The primary function of this position is to serve patients by greeting and helping them; scheduling appointments; and maintaining patient demographics on accounts. Summary of essential job functions Check in and process all patients Verify essential patient demographic information (i.e. address, phone number, insurance information) on all patients Comfort patients/parents by anticipating patients'/parents' anxieties; answer patients'/parents' questions; maintain reception area Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information Assist with appointments for patients Make copies of insurance card and scan into patient chart Process charges, payment and daily receipt balancing Greet all patients with a smile and a good morning or good afternoon Other job duties as assigned Abilities required Ability to sit up for 8 hours daily Maintain confidentiality in matters regarding the Clinic, its patients and employees Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently Ability to communicate effectively with others clearly and concisely Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
