Ours is a fast-paced, high-energy, two-person clinic consisting of just the Optometrist (owner) and you. We focus purely on eye care and comprehensive eye health exams. If you love staying busy, multi-tasking, and working in a streamlined environment with zero office drama and no staff management responsibilities, this is the perfect fit. The Role Because you will be the only employee, you are the operational heartbeat of the practice. You will manage the front desk and work hand-in-hand with the doctor on patient clinical work in a swift, efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities Patient Hospitality:
Greet patients, answer high-volume phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage daily flow.
Insurance Navigation:
Pull and verify vision and medical benefits (VSP, EyeMed, etc) before arrival.
Clinical Pre-Testing:
Guide patients through basic diagnostic testing (Auto-refractor, tonometer, visual fields).
Medical Record Entry:
Input history, chief complaints, and preliminary data into EHR software quickly and accurately.
Office Stewardship:
Handle patient checkout, copay collections, billing data entry, and maintain clinic flow.
Position Requirements Language:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred to assist patients with histories.
Training:
No experience needed—we are willing to fully train a sharp, organized professional who catches on fast. The "Solo"
Mindset:
You thrive in a brisk, independent workflow and take ownership of your daily tasks.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable navigating online insurance portals and digital diagnostic equipment under time constraints.
Location:
Commutable to Round Rock/North Austin without a stressful I-35 commute.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
