Job Summary:
Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Front Office Assistant, where you'll be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator that keeps our clinic running smoothly. In this energetic role, you will handle patient interactions, manage appointments, verify insurance coverage, and support the administrative operations of our busy dental office. Your positive attitude and organizational skills will ensure every patient experience is seamless, from check-in to check-out, while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties:
Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software
OPEN DENTAL.
Schedule patient appointments efficiently, managing multiple-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette. Verify insurance coverage and benefits using systems ; process claims and follow up on outstanding payments. Manage patient records with accuracy by updating medical histories, treatment plans, and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and explanation of benefits to patients. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and dental charts while ensuring confidentiality of health information management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a medical or dental front office setting with familiarity in dental terminology and clinic operations. Strong computer skills including proficiency in
OPEN DENTAL.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical billing/coding procedures such as ICD coding and CPT coding. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus. Experience with insurance verification processes, medical collection efforts, and documentation review. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous
