In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your energetic approach will help streamline clinic operations, facilitate patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through exceptional front desk support and administrative excellence. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) Verify patient insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process payments or co-pays efficiently. Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary. Manage medical records by filing, retrieving, and updating electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as intake forms, appointment reminders, and care plan documentation. Skills Proven experience in medical office administration or front desk support within clinics or healthcare settings. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, billing, and Medicare procedures. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Excellent communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette and ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology (if applicable), and clinical confidentiality policies. Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing).
