Front Desk Receptionist Ark-La-Tex Pediatric Dentistry, PLLC Position Summary Ark-La-Tex Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly, energetic, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients and families. This position plays a critical role in creating an exceptional patient experience by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining an organized schedule, and ensuring efficient front office operations. Primary ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience Greet every patient and family with a warm, welcoming attitude. Create a positive first impression that reflects the values of Ark-La-Tex Pediatric Dentistry. Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally. Respond to patient questions or direct them to the appropriate team member. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Address patient concerns professionally and seek solutions whenever possible. Scheduling & Appointment Management Schedule new and existing patient appointments efficiently. Confirm appointments through phone calls, text messages, and other communication methods. Manage cancellations and fill open appointment times. Coordinate treatment appointments based on doctor recommendations. Maintain an organized and productive daily schedule. Assist with emergency scheduling when appropriate. Patient Registration Verify patient demographic and insurance information. Collect completed paperwork and consent forms. Ensure all required documentation is complete before appointments. Accurately enter patient information into the practice management software. Scan and upload documents into electronic patient records. Financial Responsibilities Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Process credit card, cash, and check payments accurately. Balance daily receipts and assist with end-of-day reconciliation. Discuss financial policies with families professionally. Coordinate payment arrangements when appropriate. Insurance Coordination Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Obtain necessary referrals and authorizations when required. Communicate insurance information accurately to patients. Assist clinical and insurance teams with documentation requests. Administrative Duties Maintain an organized and professional reception area. Prepare daily patient charts. Monitor office email and electronic communications. Manage incoming and outgoing mail. Order front office supplies as needed. Assist with office projects and administrative tasks. Support other team members during busy periods. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Professional appearance and demeanor. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable with excellent attendance. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Preferred Previous dental or medical office experience. Pediatric dental experience. Curve Hero experience Insurance verification experience. Customer service experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
