In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, handle insurance verifications, and ensure smooth administrative workflows. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression. Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and efficiency. Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls appropriately. Maintain accurate medical records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness. Assist with medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and dental terminology to support billing processes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and handling sensitive data responsibly. Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting, with strong familiarity with dental terminology and clinic procedures. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms like Meditech or Epic. Knowledge of insurance verification processes, medical billing, coding (ICD, CPT), and Medicare guidelines. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (including 10-key typing). Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional phone etiquette, customer service skills, and professional appearance. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Familiarity with health information management standards such as HIPAA is essential. Previous experience with office management software like Care Plans or eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
