In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Your expertise in medical administrative support, insurance verification, and patient service will help streamline daily operations, facilitate accurate documentation, and uphold the highest standards of patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving dental practice dedicated to improving oral health and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage all front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and benefits using systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or EHR platforms including eClinicalWorks Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle medical billing with accuracy and attention to detail Maintain comprehensive medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation review Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear communication and appointment coordination Assist with insurance claims processing, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare documentation as needed Manage filing of medical records, dental charts, and other administrative documents with precision Support clinic operations by handling intake procedures, patient inquiries, and office management tasks Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or medical front desk environment with strong clinic experience Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical billing practices Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Meditech, Epic, Athenahealth or similar platforms
OPEN DENTAL
Knowledge of health information management standards including HIPAA compliance and documentation review processes Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing speed (10 key typing preferred) Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor Office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; familiarity with insurance verification and medical administrative support is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in medical records management Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding front desk support!
