Job Overview Clinic Travel Required We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk professional to be the welcoming face of our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of daily operations. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. You will manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance information, handle medical records, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while honing your skills in medical administration and health information management. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service at all times Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification processes Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate Collect co-payments and other outstanding balances for services rendered Maintain and organize medical records, including filing, scanning, and data entry within EMR system Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear communication and routing calls appropriately Support clinical staff with administrative duties such as preparing care plans, reviewing documentation, and managing appointment scheduling Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times Perform office management tasks including filing, faxing, copying, and managing medical office supplies Other duties as assigned Skills Proven experience in medical front desk or administrative support within clinics or healthcare settings Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Knowledge of health information management practices aligned with HIPAA compliance standards Ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings is highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Exceptional phone etiquette combined with strong organizational skills for multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Prior clinic or hospital experience that demonstrates familiarity with medical office procedures and patient service excellence Join our team to make a meaningful impact on patient care while advancing your career in healthcare administration!
