Key Responsibilities Perform receptionist duties and other various clerical tasks to assist staff members as necessary. Greet all visitors and determine the nature of the visit. Verify patient's DEERS eligibility and utilize two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient. Patient check-in should be accomplished using AHLTA or CHCS. Include date, stamps, clinic, and patient identifying information on all supporting documents in medical records. Screen walk-in patients to determine purpose of visit and eligibility for treatment. Explain clinic appointment procedures and coordinate walk-in appointments with health care provider. Observe patient for obvious signs of discomfort, illness or distress and notify professional staff of perceived emergencies. Maintain/stock forms needed at front desk. Assist with other duties as needed and assigned. Qualifications Must be a US citizen One year of experience as an administrative technician, in medical environment, using full range of equipment used in medical office environment. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members. Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records. A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Ready to make a difference?
