Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidates will be able to handle a variety of tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, answering phones, and patient check-in and out.
Position Schedule:
Mon-Wed-Thru:
8:30am - 4:45pm; with additional hours available to cover for vacations. The successful candidate will be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment and live within 15 miles from the office. Medical billing experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Maintain accurate patient records and medical histories. Collect patient information, including insurance information, for billing purposes. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, and process referrals. Provide general information about the practice, services, and rheumatology treatments. Other duties as assigned by the physician.
Qualifications:
Prior outpatient medical office experience preferably in a specialty
Bilingual:
Fluent English & Spanish preferred Possibility of traveling to the Reston office Technology / computer savvy and EMR proficient - NextGen preferred Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Medical Billing knowledge a plus Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
