Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental and medical terminology, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our office runs smoothly while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities Manage the front office operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and ensuring efficient workflow. Oversee billing and insurance claims, including Medicare and other health plans, to ensure accurate processing and collections. Maintain patient files in compliance with privacy regulations and office policies. Coordinate with dental staff to ensure that all necessary supplies are available and equipment is properly maintained. Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients. Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Train and supervise administrative staff to ensure high standards of performance. Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and industry best practices to facilitate effective communication within the team. Experience Must have experience working at a dental office/clinic. Proven experience in medical office management or a similar administrative role is preferred. Familiarity with Medicare processes and hospital environments is advantageous. Proficient in computerized systems for managing patient records and scheduling (experience with dental software is a plus). Strong skills in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
