Responsibilities include:
Answering and managing incoming phone calls Scheduling new and established patient appointments Greeting patients and assisting with check-in and check-out Collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information Assisting patients with portal registration and access Collecting copays, balances, and other patient payments Answering general insurance and billing questions Communicating clearly with patients regarding scheduling and office policies Coordinating with providers, medical assistants, billing staff, and other members of the care team Assisting with incoming documents, records, and other front-office administrative tasks Helping maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming front office Supporting other reception and administrative duties as needed Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who can balance excellent customer service with the efficiency required in a busy medical practice.You should be:
Friendly, warm, and professional with patients Reliable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable managing multiple priorities at once Adaptable and able to stay calm when the office gets busy A strong verbal and written communicator Self-directed and comfortable taking initiative Confident using computers, electronic health records, patient portals, and other office technology A collaborative team member who is willing to jump in and help where needed Experience Required At least 1 year of recent experience in a medical office setting as a: Medical Receptionist Medical Front Desk Coordinator Patient Services Representative Medical Assistant Medical Office Assistant or another similar healthcare office position. Experience with medical scheduling, insurance verification, and patient billing is strongly preferred.Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$18- 23/hour, depending on experience This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, in-person position at our Mill Creek clinic.
