Dental Front Office Receptionist

Job Description

We are looking for an amazing team member for our office. Could this be you? We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our Mount Vernon Root Canal Specialists . If you have dental front-office experience, enjoy helping patients feel comfortable, and take pride in creating a welcoming and organized office environment, we would love to hear from you! As an endodontic specialty practice, many of our patients are referred to us because they are experiencing dental pain or need specialized treatment. The ideal candidate understands the importance of compassionate communication, attention to detail, and excellent coordination with both patients and referring dental offices. What You'll Do Welcome patients warmly and provide an exceptional patient experience Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries Coordinate referrals and communicate with referring dental offices Verify dental insurance benefits and assist with treatment estimates Review treatment plans, fees, and financial arrangements with patients Handle patient check-in and check-out Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records Maintain accurate patient information and documentation Coordinate appointment confirmations and follow-ups Communicate with patients regarding appointments, treatment, and insurance questions Work closely with the doctor and clinical team to keep the daily schedule running smoothly Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming front-office environment Qualifications Previous dental office experience is required Experience in an endodontic or other dental specialty office is strongly preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, and treatment coordination Excellent communication and customer-service skills Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy specialty practice Comfortable discussing treatment fees, insurance benefits, and payment options Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and understands that the front office sets the tone for the patient's entire experience. You should be confident in a dental office setting, communicate clearly, take initiative, and treat every patient with kindness and respect. Experience in a specialty practice is a plus, but a strong dental front-office background and a willingness to learn are essential.
