Dental Receptionist
Job Description
Overview Join our Pediatric Team as a Dental Receptionist, where your friendly and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients. You will manage patient scheduling, handle dental administrative tasks, and ensure a smooth flow of front office operations. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointments Manage patient scheduling Collect and process payments, insurance co-pays, and outstanding balances with accuracy Review and update patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and schedule follow-up appointments Assist with documentation review, filing medical records, and maintaining organized electronic health records Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation and facilitating communication between patients and dental providers Experience Experience as a Health care Receptionist or in a medical office environment Familiarity with any dental software is a bonus Knowledge of health insurance procedures including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes Competency in medical terminology Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills (including 10 key typing) for accurate data entry Join us in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for from their first contact. Pay:
