Your expertise in medical administrative support and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will help streamline clinic operations, enhance patient experience, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with enthusiasm, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Schedule appointments efficiently using clinic management software such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth, ensuring optimal patient flow Verify patient insurance details, including Medicare and health insurance knowledge, to facilitate accurate billing and claims processing Collect and review medical documentation, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 codes, and care plans to support accurate medical billing and coding processes Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or EMR platforms by updating patient information securely and accurately Handle medical collections processes professionally while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry with 10-key typing skills, document review, and maintaining organized medical records Coordinate with clinical staff to support medical office management tasks such as appointment reminders and patient follow-up Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with diverse patient populations Prior clinic experience or medical office experience demonstrating familiarity with front desk operations and medical administrative support Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Knowledge of health insurance procedures including Medicare billing processes and health information management practices Understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, ICD coding standards, and documentation review procedures Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and effective phone communication abilities Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all clerical tasks Commitment to confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and clinical confidentiality policies Embark on a rewarding career where your bilingual skills make a meaningful difference!
