The primary focus of this position is to schedule all patient surgeries including pre-operative and post-operative appointments, coordinate scheduling with the surgeon and surgery facility, obtain medical clearance, obtain prior authorization for all scheduled surgeries and provide accurate cost-estimates to all patients. This position is also responsible for verifying registration information, updating patient demographics and obtaining accurate billing information and cross-coverage with the front desk position. As a PSR, you serve as a liaison between patients and physicians both by telephone and in person, always in a courteous and efficient manner. Experience with previous surgery scheduling, prior authorization and NextGen EPM and EMR background preferred. Compensation dependent on experience.
