Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your expertise in medical and dental administrative support, combined with excellent communication skills, will help facilitate efficient clinic operations, manage patient records, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate care plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting the clinical team. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software such as Archy Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical collections with accuracy and professionalism Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately with excellent phone etiquette Maintain accurate patient records by reviewing documentation, updating EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems like Meditech or Epic, and ensuring HIPAA compliance Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures, and coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, and dental terminology Support clinic operations by filing medical records, managing office supplies, and performing clerical tasks such as data entry and typing with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing practices Familiarity with dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Knowledge of insurance verification processes including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers; experience with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and documentation review is essential Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and multi-line phone systems Ability to handle sensitive patient information following HIPAA regulations with integrity and confidentiality Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; candidates with hospital or healthcare administrative support background are encouraged to apply Join our team where your organizational skills and passion for patient care will make a meaningful difference!
