Job Overview Retina Vitreous Consultants (RVC) is a specialized retinal practice based out of Monroeville, Pennsylvania dedicated to providing expert, compassionate, and comprehensive retina care to our patients in the field of ophthalmology. We operate six locations throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Triadelphia, WV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our medical office. This role requires proficiency in various office systems and a strong understanding of health information management. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Collect fees like co-pays, balances and estimates. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintain patient records in compliance with health information management standards. Utilize office systems such as Nextech, NextGen, and Promptly for patient management. Assist with clerical tasks including filing and data entry as needed. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required (GED) Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role required. Valid driver's license Local travel required (25%). Must have flexible hours (early mornings/late evenings). Familiarity with electronic medical systems such as practice management and check-in dashboards. Previous experience with NextTech is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review. Knowledge of health information management principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Proficiency in clerical tasks including filing and basic medical coding is desirable.
