Job Description
Arizona Heart and Rhythm Center is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to support our cardiology providers. The Medical Scribe will document patient encounters in real time, assist with clinical workflows, and help ensure accurate and efficient medical records. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in healthcare who are looking to gain hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced specialty practice. Key Responsibilities Accurately document patient visits, including history, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist providers during patient encounters to ensure complete and timely charting Enter orders, referrals, and diagnostic test requests as directed by the provider Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support workflow efficiency Prepare charts prior to patient visits and ensure documentation completeness Perform other administrative or clinical support duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in a life science field (e.g., biology, chemistry, microbiology, zoology, botany, genetics, pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology) or a general pre-medicine program preferred Strong interest in healthcare, cardiology, or medical field careers Excellent listening, typing, and documentation skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn EMR systems Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Prior scribe or clinical experience Familiarity with medical terminology Experience in cardiology or specialty practice (preferred but not required) Work Environment Fast-paced cardiology and electrophysiology practice Direct provider interaction and patient care exposure Professional, team-oriented atmosphere
