The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians in a fast-paced medical environment, particularly in the emergency room, to accurately document patient encounters and assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records. This role is essential for enhancing the efficiency of healthcare delivery and ensuring that all medical documentation is precise and up-to-date. Duties Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions during examinations and procedures. Document medical histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans in real-time. Maintain organized and thorough medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to input data and retrieve patient information as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to facilitate effective communication with the medical team. Assist in managing patient flow within the emergency room by coordinating with nursing staff and other departments. Qualifications Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Experience or familiarity with medical documentation practices within a medical office or emergency room setting is preferred. Proficient typing skills with the ability to transcribe information quickly and accurately. Knowledge of systems used for electronic medical records (EMR) is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients.
