The Medical Scribe will assist in streamlining clinical workflows through precise record-keeping, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating effective patient interactions. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the medical field while contributing to high-quality patient care. -- Duties Accurately transcribe and document physician-patient interactions in real-time using the Aprima Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Demonstrate proficiency in typing to ensure swift and precise documentation during medical consultations. Utilize medical terminology correctly to accurately record diagnoses, treatments, and patient histories. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Assist healthcare providers by preparing documentation ahead of patient visits and updating records post-consultation. Interact professionally with patients when necessary, providing support for documentation purposes while respecting their comfort and privacy. -- Qualifications Strong typing skills with the ability to transcribe quickly and accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred; willingness to learn on the job is essential. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems or similar electronic record-keeping platforms is advantageous. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
