Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring that medical records are maintained properly, allowing for improved patient care and streamlined office operations. A strong understanding of medical terminology, and office systems is crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities Accurately document patient histories, examinations, assessments, and treatment plans during medical visits. Record vital signs and other relevant patient information as needed. Manage and organize medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Assist healthcare providers with the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic. Support the medical office by coordinating communication between patients and providers. Maintain knowledge of medical coding practices to ensure proper documentation. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including specialists in pediatrics and optical care. Stay updated on advancements in medical practices and technologies relevant to the role. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and physiology is essential. Knowledge of vital signs assessment and documentation practices. Understanding of medical coding principles is beneficial. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required for accurate record keeping. Excellent communication skills to facilitate interactions with healthcare professionals and patients. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
