Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time detail-oriented and reliable Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will work alongside physicians and other medical professionals to accurately document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring complete and precise medical records. This role plays a critical part in improving workflow efficiency and allowing providers to focus on delivering high-quality patient care. This position is primarily based in La Mesa , with the possibility of providing coverage at our Chula Vista and Escondido office locations as needed. Must be willing to work at all 3 locations.
Responsibilities:
Document patient encounters in real-time using the electronic health record (EHR) Accurately record patient history, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans Assist providers with chart preparation prior to patient visits Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and entered in a timely manner Update patient records, including orders, referrals, and lab/imaging results as directed Assist with in-office procedures as needed Perform and/or assist with hearing tests Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Support providers with workflow efficiency and administrative tasks as needed Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff
Qualifications:
Previous medical scribe experience preferred Current CPR certification required Must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 yrs of employment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting Excellent communication and typing skills This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the medical field, particularly those pursuing careers in healthcare.
