Job Description

Description:
Medical Scribe - Ultrasound Results is responsible for reviewing ultrasound test findings, staging liver fibrosis and steatosis (including CAP scores), and communicating results to patients under physician supervision. This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate documentation and clear patient understanding of diagnostic outcomes. This is primarily a clerical and patient-facing role requiring strong reliability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and comfortable discussing medical findings with patients.
Patient review appointments average:
15 minutes for patients with negative results 30 minutes for patients with diagnosed findings requiring staging review
Requirements:
Review ultrasound test results for accuracy and completeness Observe fibrosis and steatosis findings, including CAP scoring Communicate results to patients clearly and professionally Document all findings and patient discussions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Ensure timely and accurate chart completion Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Provide clerical support related to ultrasound result processing Coordinate follow-up documentation and next-step instructions as directed by the physician
