No prior experience required. See requirements below. This is an ideal job for someone interested in becoming a Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner. Besides working in the front office and learning valuable skills of customer service and running a busy medical office (main duties), you will also be working directly with the physician as a medical scribe. So, you will be receiving hands-on experience, as close to being a real doctor as possible.
Job Duties:
Provide support for physician and other members of the team in the practice as a medical assistant, working at front desk answering phones, taking messages, filing (electronically), submitting insurance authorizations, greeting and rooming patients, taking vital signs. See the patients with the physician and transcribing the history and physical exam details in real time, on the electronic medical record (EMR). Thus, you need to be a fast typist. Assisting physician in patient examinations and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. If you speak Spanish or Mandarin, there will be a short oral test. (Bilingual is not required.) Graduated college with Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, Required. (Do NOT apply if you are still in school.) Very Fast typist, at least 60 wpm!
CLEARLY STATE YOUR TYPING SPEED
(WPM) in your resume. Good spelling and grammar skills Scribe must be available for work when physician is working, and take vacation/time off ONLY when the physician is off. Fluency in Spanish (HIGHLY DESIRED, but not required) Must be able to commit to employment for 1 YEAR

Working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. There will be a spelling/typing test during the interview process.
