Duties Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, accurately capturing physician-patient interactions in real-time. Manage and update electronic health records (EHR) systems with precise medical documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Assist healthcare providers by organizing patient charts, verifying information, and preparing documentation ahead of appointments. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient privacy at all times. Support physicians by documenting medical histories, physical exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions. Facilitate communication between patients and providers by recording questions, concerns, and responses during visits. Demonstrate proficiency in medical transcription, typing quickly and accurately to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure compliance with all medical office procedures and standards for EMR/EHR systems management. Assist in emergency room settings or urgent care environments by documenting critical information swiftly and accurately. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office settings as a medical scribe is required ; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures to ensure precise documentation. Excellent transcription skills combined with fast typing speed to support real-time note-taking during patient encounters. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information. Prior experience with electronic health records management tools such as EMR or EHR systems is required. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments while maintaining accuracy. Exceptional writing skills for clear, concise, and comprehensive medical documentation. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed clinical protocols and confidentiality policies diligently.
