Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Part-time Medical/Ophthalmic Scribe to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, supporting physicians during examinations, and ensuring precise medical records management. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their healthcare career while gaining valuable clinical documentation experience on a part-time basis.
WE WILL TRAIN!
!! Duties Transcribe physician-patient interactions accurately and efficiently during medical examinations and procedures Document detailed medical histories, physical findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in EMR/EHR systems Assist healthcare providers by preparing and organizing patient charts and records Ensure all medical documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards Performing Visual Fields, OCTs and other testing as required Support physicians with real-time note-taking to facilitate smooth clinical workflows Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate recording of procedures and patient data Utilize typing skills to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive medical documentation during patient visitsRequirements Proven experience in transcription, medical office administration, or clinical documentation is a bonus! Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical records management. Experience in Nextgen is a bonus! Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and is highly desirable Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of medical documentation standards and compliance requirements Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively Prior experience or familiarity with ophthalmic or specialty-specific documentation is advantageousThis position provides a vital support role within our healthcare team, contributing to high-quality patient care through precise clinical documentation.
Pay:
From $19.00 per hour
